There’s a yellow envelope on your door, or pinned up in the lobby (email us if not).

The last roommate to leave: Place everyone’s keys inside…

(plus, if anyone received them: key fobs, parking passes & garage remotes)

…and leave the envelope here:

Once we have all your keys, we’ll mail back one deposit check within 21 days to the address provided in the key-return envelope.

No envelope? Please put everything in a sealed bag, well-labelled with your name and address.

Review your ledger

You’re all liable for the total amount; please make sure your roommates have paid too.

Your balance needs to be $0 (or in parentheses). Balances in parentheses are over-paid; we’ll refund the extra money with the deposit check.

If you’re not at $0, you can request a simple/searchable PDF of your ledger here.

Split the deposit refund:

We don’t know who may have caused damage or under/over-paid; that’s up to you.

We’ll send a ledger and inspection report with the deposit check for your review. This link may help with determining your individual balances.

It’s up to the person who receives the check to distribute the money to their roommates.

1) CANCEL ELECTRICITY

Set a reminder on your phone to cancel your utilities (WE Energies) on May 21st or whenever the lease ends. Click here to do so or call 800-242-9137. Cancelling before your lease ends may result in deposit deductions.

2) Get rid of furniture responsibly

3) Clean all the way

Cleaning helps your neighbors, our busy staff, and yourselves to get the whole deposit back.

4) Change your address

Click here to change your address with USPS. We can’t return packages sent here by accident. You’ll also need to inform Spectrum, WE Energies, Amazon, family, friends, and anyone likely to mail you something.

5) Cancel Internet

Click here or call 833-267-6094 to change or cancel Spectrum Internet.
