You’ll receive a paper inspection form/checklist with keys.
If it’s been misplaced, download it here ⤵️

Fill this out within a week and return it (signed and dated) to the 929 N 17th St drop-box.

⚠️ Any flaws / issues absent from this inspection form will be deducted from the deposit when you move out.

  • If you had an appointment, or you’re here on 6/1 and office staff aren’t responsive to the 929 N 17th St buzzer after 2 minutes…

    Sorry - we may have to step out briefly on move-in day. It’s hectic!

    Please text “Keys needed for [apartment address / unit number]” to Carlito - (414) 750-2957.

    If there’s no response from either for 5+ minutes, leave a voicemail at the office number (414) 367-9414.

    And a further backup at 262-719-7534. Someone should return very shortly.


We encourage you to pick up keys for your roommates if possible.

Keys will be distributed when:

✔️ The lease is fully signed

✔️ An ID card is shown for at least one tenant
(or designated family/mover — tell mgmt if so)

✔️ All outstanding charges are paid
($0 ledger balance — including any prior leases with us)

NO PAYMENT / NO ID = NO KEYS

  • SET UP ELECTRICAL SERVICE 🔌

    ⚠️ This is required on DAY ONE OF YOUR SIGNED LEASE TERM

    • Even if you’ll live here full-time later.

      • If that’s the case, your summer bills will be cheap.

  • One tenant per unit needs a WE Energies account.

    • Roommates should pay this person directly each month.

  • If you have an early move-in, set it up for that day.

  • Otherwise you’ll pay it all back plus $50/month.

  • ⭐ Maintenance 🛠️

  • Text Carlito for maintenance / repairs if needed. After-hours for emergencies only.

    • Always include your unit #, address, name, and photos of maintenance issues.

    • Start the text with *URGENT* for emergencies such as leaks or hazards.

    • Please wait a week after move-in to report minor issues.

      • This helps us focus on urgent repairs first.

      • After move-in week, we’ll usually be there same-day.

      • For now, please wait a couple days, then text Grant if any work is unfinished.

    • Remember your keys - lockouts are charged according to the lease agreement.

  • ⭐ Set Up Internet 🌐

    When you’ve actually moved in, click below to start Internet service (optional):

    INTERNET (Spectrum) - START SERVICE

    • Spectrum is the standard hardwired ISP, but you’re welcome to look into other options (such as your phone company).

    • Buy or rent your own modem & router.

  • ⭐ Get Renter’s Insurance ($15/mo)🛡️

⚠️ Residents and their guests have caused thousands in damages.
Without renter’s insurance, residents are fully liable out-of-pocket.

Cover yourself in case of accidents, disasters, theft, or negligence.

Add proof of insurance through the Resident Center app/portal.

  • You can get a policy through our resident app/portal (not sponsored; it’s just easy to set up).

  • Or from a 3rd party like Lemonade, your current insurance provider, or anyone you choose.

  • ⭐ Safety Check ⚠️

Familiarize yourself with the location of fire extinguishers, alarm pull stations, & exit routes.

  • Test smoke alarms regularly and inform us if any are broken, out of batteries, or removed.

RECOMMENDED:

  • Payment Split Agreements 🤝

    • We recommend you sign an internal Rent-Split Agreement

      • Clarify your individual responsibilities to each other.

      • While you’re at it, make a plan to split cleaning. Up-front convos are best!

    • Campus MGMT only considers your total, collective unit balance, not individual balances.

      • This is the balance shown on the app/portal.

  • Start Rent Reporting (Credit Score Boost) 📈

    You can build your credit score with on-time rent payments, through the app.

    • It’s a fully optional add-on feature called “Rent Reporting” in the app menu.

  • If Campus MGMT already confirmed that you have a spot:

    1) Make sure you’ve signed the Parking Agreement

    2) Request a pass (and opener, if in a garage) when you pick up keys.
